Inevitable
WHY THE QUOTE?

Nihilism states that nothing really matters. Most people think of it in a negative light, but I personally believe in the positive interpretation. If nothing truly matters, then that means I can do whatever I want! Nothing (besides your own responsibilities) is truly stopping you from being yourself and enjoying what you enjoy
I interpret “inevitable” as pretty much anything - an act, a deadline, a day, and even an hour. Afraid would then take a lesser meaning as well - stressed, worry, concerned - feelings like that may slow me down. In quite a roundabout way, , it allows me to do what needs to be done. It allows my mind to stay focused - a fucked up form of meditation.
As to where it came from , Would anyone believe me if I said this came from a Dragon Ball Z Abridged episode that involves the final fight between Gohan and Cell? Because that’s the honest God truth. Look it up (Dragon Ball Z Abridged: Episode 60 - Part 3 at 5:10).
Such a funny thing to mention since such a small moment in a single youtube episode defined so much about me. It just happens outta nowhere, ya know?
THE POSTER PROCESS
STOP, RISO TIME!

Now that the design was complete, it was time to once again tackle the RISO for the final posters. In my original test print, I had used the colors blue, green, and red. While it looked cool, it was hard to differentiate the details. With the inclusion of yellow text, I felt that just red and green was good enough to not dilute the detail while also keeping the broody aesthetic.
POSTING POSTERS AS A POSER
To list the overall locations of where I decided to post up the posters - Universal City Walk, my kitchen that was being refurbished, my backyard where the refurbished destruction was being laid to rest, the dying mall from the first test print, the parking garage at universal studios, the parking garage near Burbank mall with the Round 1, a closing Walmart, and at an abandoned building's fence. These choices were intentional as a good half of them were locations that were either destroyed, in the process of being destroyed, in the brink of abandonment, or being remade. The rest were lively areas that had not yet reached the process of being forgetten. I wanted to display the process of the word and the effects of time - Lively, semi-lively, last breathes of air, death, and destruction that creates new beginnings which restarts the cycle once more,
THE INEVITABLE ZINE
Once the posters were posted and the photos taken, it was time to create the zine that aggregates everything I had done since the beginning. The design philosophy followed the same seen within the poster as the RISO creates a unique texture when printing photos. This texture would be used on the photos taken and would act as background filler to help out the spreads. The spreads itself were sporadic and really had no sense of direction because destruction has no true direction. It only seeks to destroy and will accomplish that without fail.
